Energy
All around the world, renewable energy sources are set to cover the growing demand for energy and, in the long run, to replace conventional power stations. GAUFF Engineering is setting today's standards by implementing hydropower stations and optimising thermal power plants. Taking international environmental standards into consideration, we provide the facilities for clean energy generation and supply for entire cities and regions.
Our Services
Hydropower Stations
Hydropower is currently the most important source of renewable energy. In 2008, hydropower covered 15.7% of the world's energy demand compared to the 13.6% supplied by nuclear energy. Our Grand Poubara project in the African country of Gabon marks the continuation of this success story.
Studies on environmental compatibility, plans for environmental management and monitoring as well as audits form a major part of our engineering services.
Thermal Power Plants
The operation of many offshore plants can be optimised to the effect that local deposits of gas, for instance, are not burnt off but are used to generate thermal energy. We will be pleased to advise you on the transport and exploitation of these gas deposits and thus to contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
Renewable Energy
Even though hydropower currently accounts for more than 60 percent of renewable energy, this is without doubt a picture that is set to change in the future. GAUFF Engineering can combine different regenerative sources of energy for you and thus create a balanced energy mix.
Stand-Alone or Interconnected Systems
In addition to technical execution, one of the challenges facing hydropower stations is their operation in a geographically limited network. If this power goes beyond a hundred megawatts, excellent energy management is required in order to warrant safe operation.
Emission Certificates
The generation of emission certificates is one of the newest services offered by GAUFF Engineering. We do not only plan and implement environmentally friendly energy generation, we also help newly industrialised and developing countries to successfully participate in international emissions trading with carbon certificates.
