Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Luanda / Angola

Your tasks

  • Responsibility for all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) topics of our large infrastructure projects
  • Preparation of risk assessments and derivation of strategies and measures
  • Identification, evaluation and management of environmental and social risks
  • Introduction and further development of HSE guidelines and regulations
  • Staff training on health, safety and environment topics
  • Monitoring of the compliance with operational and legal regulations and taking countermeasures
  • Conducting of regular audits
  • Systematic documentation and reporting
  • Support of the preparation of offers concerning HSE topics

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in civil engineering / environmental sciences / safety engineering or comparable qualification
  • Further training as health and safety coordinator (m/f/d) desirable
  • At least 5 years experience in the field of HSE
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects according to IFC performance standards and Equator principles
  • Very good command of spoken and written Portuguese beneficial
  • Working experience abroad advantageous, especially on the African continent
  • Strong communication and assertiveness skills
  • Analytical, structured and target-oriented working method
  • Responsible and independent way of working
  • Tropical fitness
