Extensive street rehabilitation in Angola

On 7 February 2020, in the presence of Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço and Chancellor Angela Merkel, GAUFF Engineering signed an agreement to rehabilitate major national roads in the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Cuanza Sul and Malange in the Angolan capital Luanda.

The total length of the new roads to be built or renovated is 622 km with an investment of approximately EUR 623 million. These projects are financed through German export credits. The planning and execution are carried out by GAUFF Engineering in consortia with INZAG Germany GmbH and QG Konstruktion GmbH, whereby GAUFF Engineering acts as lead consortium partner.

The signing ceremony took place during the visit of the German Chancellor to Angola, where she was accompanied by a high-ranking business delegation from German companies.

GAUFF Engineering has been active in Angola since 1995. At that time there was still civil war in the country. The commissioning of this major project is a success of the business philosophy of being present on site and developing projects in close coordination with the government and the authorities in the host country.
