Optimization of the Taxiway Guidance Apron West

Relocation of the Taxiway C2 at Munich Airport

Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) has charged the Joint Venture GAUFF GmbH & Co. Engineering KG and act-consult AG (ARGE) with the general planning for the “Optimization of the Taxiway Guidance Apron West”.

In the frame of this project the concept for the taxiway guidance as well as the positioning of the remote handling points on apron west will be completely restructured and adjusted to the future operational requirements.

Amongst others, the Taxiway TWY C2 will be relocated It will be extended and operated as a triple-lane. In preparation of the junction of a further triple-lane taxiway to the main taxiway TWY W1 in the northern area of the apron west, the extensive civil engineering measures are already executed in the frame of this project.
