Background and Project
Port Gentil is the capital of the province of Ogooué-Maritime, one of the most important ports and centres of the petroleum industry of the country. Nevertheless, at present there is no developed road link to the inland. That's why the city can be reached or supplied only by air or sea so far.
In order to connect Port Gentil to the hinterland and such increase the transport and exchange of goods, a street to the south with a length of 93,7 km as far as Omboué.
Two rest areas will be built at a distance of 52,5 km to each other to enable the users of the street to be built, to take a rest and a little relaxation. The rest areas will be situated in the West of the street, to the sea side.
The area of each resting place is amounting to 1875 m². Construction includes also the installation of pavilions, benches and lavatories.

For this project, GAUFF Engineering has been charged with the supervision of all deliveries and services to be executed by the construction firm "China Road and Bridge Corporation - CRBC" , commissioned by the Ministry for Promotion of Investments, Construction, Transport, Settlement and Tourism Scope of Services
