Background/Project
In order to improve the organization and work of the directorate, so far spread across many departments of the Berlin police, the new building in the district of Tempelhof now houses the centralized police directorate for fight against crime and criminal Investigation (VB/PTU), including extensive laboratories.
The building complex was designed for up to 1,600 employees and has a total effective area of about 25,000 sqm. These are divided in three basement levels, a ground floor, six upper floors, each with approximately 250 offices and a partially utilised / planted flat roof. In addition to office space, the complex includes, i. a. different plant rooms, parking space for cars, a shooting range, laboratories, rooms for the court in attendance with holding areas, kitchens and a cafeteria.
In this high building functional state-of-the-art requirements were successfully implemented This applies especially to the security and in-house equipment as well as to the environmental technique.
