Background
With a storage volume of 6,000 m³, the elevated tank of Zobelberg is one of the main storage structures on the Bamberg branch off of the remote water supply of Franconia (FWO) and contributes significantly to securing the water supply of the cities of Bamberg and Hallstadt as well as the Main valley and the Scheßlitz junction.
Project
GAUFF Engineering was commissioned with the planning services for the Zobelberg elevated tank as well as the renewal of the intakes and outlets on a length of around 130 m.
The access road and the entry to the elevated tank were set a whole floor height lower and the main building was also entirely rehabilitated. The power supply, the driveway and the main entrance to the container were also completely rearranged in the course of the modernisation. During the execution of these construction measures, extensive earthworks had to be carried out.
