A success story

2020
In the presence of Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, GAUFF Engineering signs an extensive agreement in Luanda for the rehabilitation of important national roads in the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Cuanza Sul and Malange with an investment volume of around EUR 623 million.

2019
During the "G20-Compact with Africa" summit GAUFF Engineering was commissioned a drainage and a road project in Côte d’Ivoire with a total volume of 327 million Euros. Maputo-Katembe Bridge receives the "Fulton Award" of the Concrete Society of Southern Africa and the "Global Best Project Award" of Engineering News Record.

2018
With the projects Maputo-Katembe bridge, OMVG, the second and third longest bridge in Africa of the Project Port Gentil, the future port of Bukasa and the drinking water supply of the city of Luanda, we implement infrastructures of superlatives. The electrification of 300 villages in Senegal is another mega-project that complements this list. Together, these projects form our "Big Five".

2017
The infrastructure planning for the new district of Lichtenreuth begins in Nuremberg by order of Aurelis Asset GmbH.

2016
In Dakar GAUFF Engineering takes over technical assistance for the multinational Client “OMVG” (Senegal, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau) in order to implement the biggest current energy project in West Africa, comprising four countries.

2015
GAUFF Engineering is charged with the construction of the Bukasa port in Kampala, Uganda. The project of the port has the highest individual contract value for GAUFF Engineering up until now. Furthermore, seven new project countries have been opened up in 2015.

2015
Gerhard Gauff has withdrawn as partner of the company and the remaining partners have accepted full responsibility for his shares.

2014
The construction of Africa's largest suspension bridge begins in Maputo. GAUFF Engineering is responsible for the construction supervision and quality control in this path-breaking project.

GAUFF Engineering intensifies further its activities in Germany and obtains new orders a.o. from the Fernwasserversorgung Oberfranken and the airport of Munich.

2013
Taking over the construction supervision for the project "Port Gentil - Omboué", in the frame of which two of the largest bridges of Africa will be built, GAUFF Engineering confirmed its position as a key player within the consulting engineering offices in Gabon. 

2012
With the transfer of company shares to his children, Uwe Gauff ensures the continuance of GAUFF Engineering as a third-generation family business.

2011
Implementing the EPPM project "PALUB I" GAUFF Engineering lays the foundations for a sustainable water supply of the Angolan province capital Lubango. The core of the project is water exploration, the new construction of a total of 32 km of transport lines as well as the rehabilitation of the drinking water supply net.

2008
Start up of the Project „Grand Poubara“ in the South East of Gabon. Within a period of four years a hydro power plant with a total capacity of 160 MW is to be built above the waterfalls of Poubara. Here GAUFF Engineering is responsible for the base of planning and the entire construction management.

2008
Helmut P. Gauff celebrates 50 years of successful entrepreneurship and GAUFF Engineering celebrates its 20th anniversary. To secure the company's succession in the long-term, Helmut P. Gauff transfers his company shares to his son Uwe Gauff.

2007
Uwe Gauff becomes partner of GAUFF Engineering. His brother Dieter withdraws as partner.

2006
In the frame of an EPPM contract GAUFF Engineering is awarded the assignment for the new construction of the road from Ntoum to Cocobeach in Gabon.

2003
GAUFF Engineering is extensively involved in the reconstruction of Angola with the implementation of EPPM projects in the field of infrastructure and water supply.

2001
Completion of the "Tuy IV" planning in Caracas. With this project GAUFF Engineering establishes the basis to develop and to sustainably ensure the water supply in the Venezuelan metropolitan area .

2000
Gerhard Gauff becomes partner of GAUFF Engineering by way of transfer of shares by his father Helmut P. Gauff.

1998
The company’s head office is relocated from Berlin to Nuremberg.

1996
By delivering pipes and valves, GAUFF Engineering is involved in establishing Baghdad's new water supply system, thus giving assistance in the framework of the Humanitarian Aid of the United Nations “Oil-for-Food”-Programme.

1995
The company’s name is changed into the present name of GAUFF GmbH & Co. Engineering KG.

1993
Progress for Venezuela: With the construction of the waste water treatment plant of the city of Puerto la Cruz, GAUFF improves the cleanliness of the beaches and the health situation of the entire region within the scope of an EPPM project. For the first time, GAUFF arranged the financing of an EPPM project.

1991
GAUFF engages in first business contacts to Jordan and Iraq establishing itself on the Asian continent.

1989
GAUFF takes over the responsibility for the construction equipment and supervision of several projects of the Senate of Berlin, i.a. for the new construction of the Police Department at Tempelhofer Damm.

1988
In Berlin, Gauff Ingenieure GmbH & Co. Consulting KG (GAUFF) is founded by the founding members Helmut P. Gauff and his son Dieter. The company is specialised in the management of large-scale projects implemented by highly qualified staff, in which traditional engineering, procurement and project management services are bundled.
